It's a far cry from a dream come true
But it's gotta work till the rest pulls through
Still in the same place as before
And still wanting something more
Watch the people smile as they pass by
Make up another "it's okay" lie
When will they realize this is not enough
Right now desire's gotta stay tough
Inch forward towards dreams, working every day
Watch for the moment to fly far away
Break free into life of dreams become real
Thanks to work and now this is now happiness feels
But don't forget those back home
As the stuff of life begins to roam
Everyone needs support now and then
Things could change in an instant; you never know when.
